Leather Care

Caring for your leather

Full-grain leather is built to last, and a few simple habits will keep your pieces looking better every year. Leather is a natural material, so it responds to how you use it, wear it, and store it.

Keep it dry

If your leather gets wet, blot away moisture with a soft, dry cloth and let it air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Heat can dry out and crack the surface.

Condition regularly

Every few months, apply a quality leather conditioner with a soft cloth to keep the leather supple and prevent drying. Test any product on a small, hidden area first.

Clean gently

Wipe away dust and dirt with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh soaps, solvents, and machine washing, which can strip the leather's natural oils and finish.

Store it well

Store leather in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a dust bag or breathable cover rather than plastic, and stuff bags and wallets lightly to help them hold their shape.

Embrace the patina

Scratches, softening, and a deepening sheen are part of full-grain leather's character. With regular care, your piece will develop a patina that is uniquely yours.
